Statistics: Russia’s gold bar output falls 15.5% on year in July
MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold bar production decreased 15.5% on the year but rose 3.4% on the month in July, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Wednesday.
Platinum production decreased 13.2% on the year and rose 2.4% on the month in July. Palladium output fell 5.8% on the year and increased 1.1% on the month. Gold-bearing ore and concentrate production went down 3% on the year and contracted 0.5% on the month.
Uncut diamond output went down 6.1% on the year and increased 10.2% on the month in July.
In January–July, gold bar production fell 9% on the year. Palladium production rose 7.2% and output of platinum rose 4.8%. Gold-bearing ore and concentrate production increased 0.9%. Uncut diamond output fell 1%.
In 2015, gold bar production decreased 3.1%.
Previously, absolute figures on the production of non-ferrous metals were a state secret. The figures are no longer classified, but the government does not publish them.
